Description:
Hominum Ruinam unveils nature as an antidote through withdrawal and reconnection during lockdown. The work unfolds as a layered study of the body as the last physical trace of the self within digital systems. Pinhole photography, the most intimate and primal form, forms the core of the project. Two independent cycles appear in hand-built wooden objects and printed on fabric, alongside large-format chemical photography and code-based explorations. The project was developed and exhibited in the forest where it was made and continued there after the diploma.
