Description:
Ephemeral Images explores the photographic potential of electrical discharges and their fleeting nature. Drawing on camera-less photographic techniques and self-built devices, I recorded discharges directly onto sheet film, direct-positive paper and baryta paper. Each exposure leaves a unique, unrepeatable trace on the light-sensitive material. The project returns to photography's pioneering spirit of experimentation, using chance and improvisation to reconsider and expand the medium beyond conventional techniques.
